A sleek harness for racing, recreational sledding, and skijoring. This style is excellent for hard to fit and larger dogs. The open back allows the webbing to conform to the dog's body. It is made of 1" heavyweight nylon webbing with thick Polartec 300™ padding on the neck and breastplate. A nylon rope loop on the rear of the harness is used as a point of attachment to the gangline.

Over the years, this style of harness has proven to be the most popular harness design. Our Black Ice X-Backs are made to give excellent freedom of motion and feature side straps which lie further to the back of the harness, providing less pressure on the rib cage and allowing for greater lung expansion. The self-adjusting "x" across the dog's back provides a better fit. This style is popular for lean bodied racing dogs and dogs in good physical condition. It is made of 1" heavyweight nylon webbing with thick Polartec 300™ padding on the neck and breastplate.

This top of the line harness features our popular X-back design with extra comfort options for your dog. It is made with our 1" heavyweight nylon webbing. The neck of the harness is padded with 1/4" neoprene covered with thick Polartec 300™ to provide additional shock absorbing capacity. The thick Polartec 300™ padding continues down the breastplate and is extended under the dog's front legs and along the rib cage for extra comfort and reduced coat wear. A woven polyethylene loop on the rear of the harness makes gangline hookups easier for you. Let your dog enjoy the comfort of the Northstar harness.
